Last day in Italy. It’s been fun Italians, but it isn’t home.

Last night in Sorrento. Back to Rome tomorrow. Flying solo this time.

I also just finished Ender in Exile and I have nothing to read on the beach.

Just got off the hydrofoil from Naples. First day in Sorrento.

Last day in Florence. Hopping a train to Naples and the Amalfi Coast later. I hear the driving around there is nice. Time to rent a Ferrari.

MTV in Italy actually plays music. But it’s all American music! Do Italian youth not feel angst or something?

First impressions of Florence: Too metro, mediocre food. The city lacks the medieval character of Siena. We’ve only been here for the afternoon, so my judgement is a little premature. Tomorrow we see some of the art. Dan will also be leaving our group for Zurich. We’ll reunite in Rome on the 23rd.
