The Washington Post has started letting readers post comments in response to stories on their website.
I personally think this is a bad idea. It’s good that they separated comments from the meat of the articles, but newspapers like the Washington Post are supposed to contain mostly well-reported journalism, not opinion. If they’re determined to have comments, they should keep them on the editorial page. Beyond that, comments should be left to the blogs.
